§ 10.56.410. Parking meter installation—Painting of lines.

  • Parking meters shall be installed upon the curb immediately adjacent to, or when in the parking lot immediately adjacent to, the individual parking spaces designated as herein prescribed. Each meter shall be placed in such manner as to show or display by a visual signal that the parking space adjacent thereto is or is not legally in use.

    The Chief Engineer shall cause to have lines or markings painted or otherwise designated upon the curb, upon the street or upon the parking lot adjacent to each meter in such manner as to identify the parking space with each respective meter. It is unlawful to park or leave standing any vehicle across any such line or marking or in any position other than within the parking area so designated.
