§ 12.04.300. Driveway Appeals Board—Powers.

In order to prevent or lessen unnecessary hardship or practical difficulties in exceptional cases where it is difficult or impossible to comply with the strict provisions of this chapter applying to driveways, or the provisions of Section 17.94.080 or 17.94.100 of the zoning regulations of the Oakland Planning Code, the Driveway Appeals Board shall have the power to make such variances from said provisions whereby so doing the public welfare is secured and substantial justice done most nearly in accord with the intent and purposes of said provisions of said chapter or said provisions of the Oakland Planning Code.
