§ 8.22.190. Applicability—Effective date of chapter.

The ordinance codified in this Chapter shall take effect as follows:

The CPI Rent Adjustment. The CPI Rent Adjustment is effective for rent increases taking effect on or after July 1, 2002 in accordance with Section 8.22.070(B)(1);

Unless otherwise specified in a specific provision of this Chapter All provisions of this Chapter take effect pursuant to Section 216 of the Oakland City Charter. Whenever a new section takes effect on a date after this amended chapter takes effect pursuant to Section 216 of the Oakland City Charter, the provisions of the former Chapter 8.22 will apply until that new section takes effect.
